Neuqua Valley to Host Local PLTW Engineering Design & Development Showcase
Neuqua Valley High School in Naperville, IL is proud to once again be the host for the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Engineering Design & Development Showcase featuring work from 56 different student teams representing 9 local high schools on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 4-7pm. The local high schools include Downers Grove North, Downers Grove South, Metea Valley, Neuqua Valley, Oswego, Oswego East, St. Charles East, Waubonsie Valley, and West Aurora.
Students in the PLTW Engineering Design & Development class have been working all year on their projects. These projects consist of students working in teams to identify a real-world challenge, followed by months of research with engineering, business professionals, educators and other professionals to develop the best solution for their problem. Students then design and build a prototype and test their solution. This showcase is the opportunity for students to present their final projects to the public as well as to a panel of engineers, who, along with Project Lead the Way officials, will be judging the various project to award scholarship prizes that have been donated by local businesses.
