National Spanish Exam Results

Please extend a congratulations to the following students who took the National Spanish Exam - while we had a very small group of students test this year, all nine who tested did well enough to be recognized at the national level. “Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examination is very prestigious,” said Kevin Cessna-Buscemi, National Director of the Exams, as "[they] are the largest of their kind in the United States with over 146,000 students participating in 2019.”

Gold (Oro): A gold medal is awarded to students who scored in the 95th percentile or higher nationally.

This is the second year in a row that Kiana has scored in the 99th percentile on this national exam (!). Kiana and Madeline will also be awarded a cash prize from the highly competitive Chicago-area chapter (which includes schools like Walter Payton College Prep, University of Chicago Laboratory School, Northside College Prep, Lake Forest Academy, etc.).
