NVHS Pool Closed Until Aug. 18

In consultation with the DuPage County Health Department and after the completion of contact tracing by the district’s health services staff, additional areas of Neuqua Valley High School are now closed. These areas include the main office, nurse’s office, LMC, C112, D100 and entrances 1, 2, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26.

The district’s health services staff is working with the DuPage County Health Department and has completed contact tracing and notified any staff member who needs to quarantine as a precaution. A precautionary quarantine does not mean that an employee or student is sick or will become sick, but is a Department of Public Health practice to best ensure the safety of those around them and decrease the transmission of COVID-19.

In consultation with the DuPage County Health Department, District 204 is closing Neuqua Valley High School’s pool, locker rooms, and entrances 43, 45 and 46 effective August 12 until August 18 so the area can undergo extensive cleaning. District administrators are taking this step after learning that an individual who was in the pool area has tested positive for COVID-19.

The district’s health services staff is working with the DuPage County Health Department and has enacted contact tracing to notify any individuals who need to quarantine as a precaution. A precautionary quarantine does not mean that an employee or student is sick or will become sick, but is a Department of Public Health practice to best ensure the safety of those around them and decrease the transmission of COVID-19.
