Neuqua Valley High School 2008 AP Test Registration
Please carefully read through the below information regarding AP
Testing! With the volume of AP tests that we give each year, it is essential
that both students and parents understand the registration process.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
To register for an AP test, please fill out the
registration form
and turn it into Mrs. Daumen, the secretary in the Sophomore House,
with your payment between February 21st and March 14th. The cost is $84.00
per test.
LATE FEE
If you do not register for your test by March 14th, we can still accept
registrations from March 17th through March 20th for a $10.00 late fee PER
STUDENT (not per test). It is very important to understand that we CANNOT
accept test registrations after March 20th due to the ordering process.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If a student registers for a test and then later decides not to take the
test, we can issue a refund of $60.00 per test. However, students need to
put the cancellation request in writing, have it signed by a parent, and
submit that request to us no later than two days before the test is
scheduled in order to get the refund (e.g. if the test is on Thursday we
need the request by the end of the day Tuesday).
TWO TESTS AT THE SAME TIME
If a student wants to take two tests that are being offered at the same
time, he/she will have to register for an "Alternate Test". Please see Ms.
Lemanski in the College and Career Center no later than March 14th so that
the alternate test can be ordered. Keep in mind that the ALTERNATE tests are
on May 21st, 22nd and 23rd.
Collegeboard (the agency that provides AP testing) sets the dates and
times for all testing, including alternate tests.
MANDATORY “PRE-ADMINISTRATION SESSION”
All students who are taking one or more AP tests will be required to attend
a pre-administration session on Monday, April 21st or Tuesday, April
22nd. These sessions will be scheduled during your AP classes. Students
will be instructed by their AP teachers regarding the day/time they will be
attending their session.
Parents:
Your signature on the registration sheet indicates your permission for your
student to participate in the tests you have checked and that you understand
the cancellation policy.
Our testing will be at four different sites this year:
1) Frontier Campus
2) Neuqua Valley Main Campus
3) Springbrook Elementary
4) Peterson Elementary.
Information about travel to and from these sites will be provided to
students at the pre-administration session. If you give your permission for
your student to drive him or herself to the testing site, please also check
the appropriate box on the registration sheet. Transportation WILL be
provided for students who cannot drive. We are happy to have so many
students participating in the AP program at Neuqua Valley High School and we
appreciate your cooperation with our registration process!
