not allowed. If students are not properly dressed, they will be sent home to
change clothes or they will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
Graduation Decorum
Although graduation from high school can be a source of individual joy and
celebration, the actual graduation ceremony itself is a formal public
gathering of
friends and family. We maintain high expectations for appropriate behavior
during the ceremony.
These expectations will be discussed with you during your senior meetings.
Graduation Practice
Graduation Practice will be held on Thursday, May 22 at 9:00 a.m. in
the main gymnasium.
All seniors are required to be in attendance.

6. You must wear dress clothes under your graduation gown.

Parent Reminders:
1. The ceremony begins promptly at 6:00 pm. Arrive early (seating begins at
5:00 p.m.) and anticipate the demands on parking, as the lot fills quickly
and construction in the area makes access difficult.

3. Handicapped drop-off is on the east side of the PE Building. Please
follow the directives of parking personnel.
4. Please respect the participants and the ceremony throughout the program.

immediately following the ceremony. Designate a meeting place after those
obligations are completed.

together as a student body, we would like the seniors to wear dress clothes
for the event. Parents are welcome to attend the assembly. The Senior Brunch

Immunization Records
All colleges require immunization records before enrolling. Any Senior who
needs a copy of immunization records may obtain them from the NVHS school
nurse, Mrs. Hyngstrom. A signed release from a parent or student (if 18) is
required.
Call the Health Office at 428.6877 before June 28. Please discuss with your
doctor the need for the meningococcal vaccine before your student starts
college. This prevents a form of meningitis.
Selective Service
Many males are about to turn 18 and there's one thing you've got to do -
register with Selective Service. Many of you will receive a registration
card in the mail a few weeks before your birthday. Just fill it out, put a
stamp on it and send it back, call the 800 number on the post card, stop by
the post office and fill out a card there, or register on line at
http://www.sss.gov/ . That's all there is
to it. It only takes five minutes, and it makes you eligible for federal
jobs, job training and federal student loans.
So remember, within 30 days of your 18th birthday, take a minute to
register with Selective Service. It's Quick, It's Easy, and It's The LAW.
Senior Checkout Form / Final Transcripts /
Senior Survey

passed all of your required classes. Your counselor will also sign to ensure
that you have completed the NVHS Senior Exit Survey. This survey will be
distributed through Advisory in the month of May.

ALL colleges (including 2-year institutions) require that a final transcript

the
graduation ceremony. You may pre-order, or you may order a copy at the
