1) Each team must consist of a minimum of 8 fielding players to avoid
forfeit. Only 10 players may play the field positions (P, C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B,
LF, LC, RC, RF).
2) Each team must fill out line-up card prior to game. This card must
consist of all players present and will represent your batting order.
3) If you have 13 players present- all players will hit in an order even if
they are not playing a position.
4) Position Substituting is open all game unless noted by sponsor or
director.
5) Each team must wear appropriate athletic clothes/uniforms.
6) Pitching must be underhand and consist of typical 16” softball pitches
(unlimited arc) not fast pitch softball
7) On deck batters must remain off the field until it their turn to bat-

8) Catchers must stand 10’+ behind homeplate- no squat stance – Safety

9) Shoes- must be rubber molded. NO METAL SPIKES
10) Sliding into bases and collisions at home plate are not permitted.
Safety for all participants is a priority.
11) Typical Softball rules apply: 3 outs, 3 strikes = out, 4 balls = walk,
etc
12) Strike Zone- a carpet mat will indicate a strike zone should a batter
choose not to swing. If the ball hits that mat- it is a strike
13) Gloves: gloves are not be used by any player during game play. Each year
players may determine is they want a position player to use a glove
(example: 2007 participants wanted 1B and 3B to wear gloves if they choose).
14) Honor System: calls are made on Honor System. Should the sponsor see the
play occur he/she has ultimate call.
15) Forfeit- should your team have fewer than 8 players- you MAY NOT grab a
player off the street to fill in. It will be a forfeit- however the
scheduled time slot is still yours to play a small game if agreed by
sponsor.
16) Forfeit- should your team have more than 2 forfeits you will be banned
from league play and red flagged for following year (suspended).
17) Rules may be installed/removed throughout course of season to make play
safe and more enjoyable.
