Team Accomplishments
On September 1 1998 the first ever Neuqua Valley Varsity soccer team kicked
off the season with a forfeit over Glenbard East. The next day the team played Elmwood
Park and won 10-0. The team opened their season with a five game unbeaten streak and
finished the season with a 7-9-6 record. The team finished fifth in the Upstate Eight
Conference with a 3-5-1 record. The first senior class for Neuqua was one year away,
however we beat Lake Park and Batavia, schools with a strong soccer history. We also tied
Morton, Hinsdale South and Wheaton North, schools with a long winning tradition in soccer.
The sophomore team finished with a very respectable 12-7-4 overall record and a 3-3-2
Upstate Eight Conference record. The freshman team finished the season with 6-6-7 overall
record and an Upstate Eight Conference record of 3-3-2.
