Senior year is an exciting and often confusing time for our students.
Decisions need to be made about goals, future plans and finances. Many students (and their parents) are struggling with which school to attend and how to pay for their education.
Along with books, computer programs and reference materials that we have
in our College and Career Center, did you know that we also have college and university representatives visiting our students during the fall and spring seasons? This fall, we
have hosted representatives from schools such as Duke, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Augustana, Bradley, plus our State institutions to name a few. The format includes a short
presentation, distribution of applications and scholarship material, and a question and answer session.
Seniors and Juniors are permitted to visit schools during the school day with permission from their classroom teacher. Juniors must have signed approval from their counselor.
Upcoming visits are advertised on the TV announcements, parent list
serve, and are posted in the cafeteria, the Senior House and in the Senior hallway.
Parents may call for an update on visits, as well as come in and checkout college/career materials. Please encourage your student to take advantage of the College and Career services!
