NVHS Host Families and Travelers Needed For Exchange with Manresa, Spain

NVHS Host Families and Travelers Needed For Exchange with Manresa, Spain

We need host families!
Pending School Board Approval in July, NVHS will be welcoming students from Manresa, Spain to our community next fall! We are anticipating students that will need a welcoming home with a private bed (no room required) and a family willing to provide meals and rides to school. Their stay with you would be approximately 6 days. We are looking for students with experience in Spanish but it's not a requirement. Students from Manresa will be here to practice their English!
THIS FORM IS NOT A COMMITMENT.
Please fill out this interest survey to possibly become a host family
Or contact Sra. Rogoz lucille_rogoz@ipsd.org

ALSO, WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR MORE TRAVELERS!
We are looking to take a group of 15 students total to Spain over spring break, 2027.  We currently have openings for more students who would be interested in traveling.
We are thrilled about the potential to offer this exchange to our Neuqua Valley Spanish students.
Here are the materials we covered at the informational meeting for your reference:

F.A.Q
Can we still do the exchange if we are not taking Spanish next year?
It is preferred that you are enrolled in a Spanish class next year if you are interested in traveling however in some circumstances if your teacher highly recommends you, you can participate in traveling. You do NOT need to be in a Spanish class to host!

I will have sports when they are here including practices and games, what will they do when I am at sports?
There will be plenty of activities scheduled after school throughout the week for the Spanish students. For example, at least one day they will be in Chicago touring the city. We will also plan events for the whole group such as volunteering or picnics. It is encouraged that you join us when you are able but if you have an important commitment (i.e. DVC Conference, Sectional) it would be okay to miss an event with the exchange. If you are involved in a sport, you should collaborate with your coach regarding practices / competitions.
